Objectives
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Explain how readiness, importance, and confidence scales can support motivation without pressuring change.
2. Use scaling questions to explore a person’s own reasons, strengths, values, and next steps.
3. Practice follow-up questions that evoke change talk and strengthen confidence.
4. Respond to low scale ratings with curiosity, empathy, and respect for autonomy.
5. Apply scaling tools within peer support conversations while staying person-centered.
