What looks like resistance may be survival.
Behavior is communication. Learn to hear it. See beyond surface behaviors—like defiance, withdrawal, or avoidance—and recognize them as potential survival strategies rooted in trauma. This course equips participants with skills to respond with empathy, reduce stigma, and foster safety and trust in recovery relationships.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify coping mechanisms rooted in trauma that often become habitual.
2. Understand the protective function of these behaviors in early life.
3. Recognize the long-term effects of unresolved trauma in behavior patterns.
